Power Apps: Express Design Overview (Import Figma Design to Canvas)
Since the Microsoft Build event which was presented in May, we have met a lot of new features and capabilities on Power Platform, even a new logo had been introduced during the event days.
One of the most excited ones is Express Design: you can design your drafts within a couple of minutes by Figma and then can import them to Canvas App; another one is really impressive and can draw your drafts on paper and then can import them directly to canvas app that’s it! The remaining part of your process-related only to your own imagination. You can customize it ways whatever you want. Talk is cheap. Let’s have a look at how Figma design it works!
First of all, create your canvas design on Figma, I will really a quick and dirty design template.
Nice to mention you can use customized Power Apps canvas apps UI Kits to get efficiency when working on but it depends on totally your decision.
Time to import these design screens to Canvas App but first we have some process before moving it to the canvas.
Create Token on Figma
After completing the screen design, one more step to do: create a Figma token easily get via the Figma app or web version, all you need click on the Home icon and select your account and go to Settings
When you scroll down, you can see the creating access token section on this screen. Type your token name and get it!
Import to Canvas App
Go to make.powerapps.com
Click on Figma (preview)
When loading completely successful you can find the design on the Canvas App that you created
